Why Choose Dental Implants?

smiling senior couple

Over the years, dental implants have undoubtedly become the preferred method to replace missing teeth. Due to their individual placement and permanent anchor into the jawbone, they are as close to natural teeth as you can get when it comes to restorative dentistry. In fact, compared to other replacement teeth methods, like bridges and dentures, dental implants offer some life-changing advantages.

The Basics of Implant Dentistry

Dental implants have been used for decades, but they have advanced in quality and appearance over the years. The basic procedure is still the same: titanium posts are surgically implanted into the jaw bone to act as artificial tooth roots. Once the implant heals and fuses to the surrounding bone, it can be covered with a dental crown or denture to replace missing teeth. Modern dental implant technology allows for superior imaging and precise placement that can make the implants retain an even higher success rate – which is commonly reported at 98%!

Benefits Of Implants

Dental implants are known for their remarkable and lifelong benefits. Not only can you regain a beautiful smile with dental implants, but you can trust that your new teeth will be stable too. Unlike removable dentures that can often slip out of place or cause you to restrict your diet away from hard-to-chew foods, dental implants can help you speak, laugh and eat the way you do with natural teeth. Because implants are anchored into the jawbone, you’ll also avoid premature facial aging due to the progressive bone loss that happens when there is no tooth root to stimulate the underlying bone. Last but not least, you can care for your dental implants exactly like your real teeth!

Whether you are missing just one tooth or want a full arch dental restoration, dental implants can be a viable, permanent solution. Call today to schedule an examination and consultation with Peninsula Dentistry. We not only offer complete implant dentistry but we also offer the most advanced techniques in bone grafting if you need to rebuild jawbone prior to getting your implants.

Absolutely phenomenal dental office. Not only are the dentists outstanding at their craft but, like every person in the office, they are incredibly friendly and genuine. And that is so important. I earnestly recommend Peninsula if you are looking for the highest quality care, expertise and, equally important, quality people. I would give them 10 stars if I could.
