Why Are You Scared of the Dentist?

While a majority of Americans don’t necessarily look forward to going to the dentist, there is a notable percentage (15%) that suffer from true dental anxiety. Dental anxiety, also called dental fear or dental phobia, is a real condition. Unfortunately, it can be the obstacle that keeps someone from getting the dental are they need and deserve.

There are many reasons why a patient may experience anxiety about the dental office. However, today’s dental offices are not the same as they were in past decades. Before you decide to give up on professional dental care due to your fear, we invite you to discover what a modern dentist can offer to help you feel at ease.

A Modern Dentist Promotes Patient Comfort

At Peninsula Cosmetic & Family Dentistry, we have created an office that feels like home. From our soothing amenities to our painless dental technology, we have your comfort in mind at every step of your dental visit. For anxious patients, we also provide sedation dentistry, which can put you in a deep state of relaxation and contentment while you are in the dental chair. Some of our sedation options, such as Nitrous Oxide, are safe for kids and adults and won’t cause lingering side effects.

Dentistry should be as affordable as it is high-quality. At Peninsula Cosmetic & Family Dentistry, we firmly believe that the terms of a dental insurance plan (or lack thereof) should not dictate the quality of care our patients deserve. That’s why we are pleased to offer our in-house savings plan. Now, patients who are uninsured can STILL save on general, preventative, and even ortho services!

Our Patients Reviews

Absolutely phenomenal dental office. Not only are the dentists outstanding at their craft but, like every person in the office, they are incredibly friendly and genuine. And that is so important. I earnestly recommend Peninsula if you are looking for the highest quality care, expertise and, equally important, quality people. I would give them 10 stars if I could.
