What is Six Month Smiles?

Six Month Smiles is a cutting-edge short-term orthodontic treatment that focuses on enhancing the appearance of your smile by correcting misaligned teeth. Unlike traditional braces that can take several years to complete treatment, Six Month Smiles uses clear brackets and tooth-colored wires that blend seamlessly with your teeth, providing a discreet and comfortable experience. The average treatment time is around six months, making it an excellent option for individuals seeking a quick solution for mild to moderate orthodontic issues.

Best Candidates for Six Month Smiles

At Peninsula Cosmetic & Family Dentistry, we can determine whether you qualify for short-term orthodontics such as Six Month Smiles. In general, the following patients make good candidates:

Adults with Cosmetic Concerns

Six Month Smiles is ideal for adults who have cosmetic concerns about the alignment of their front teeth. If you have minor crowding, spacing, or crookedness in your visible teeth and desire a straighter smile, Six Month Smiles can deliver impressive results in a relatively short period. It focuses on enhancing the appearance of your teeth that are most visible when you smile.

Busy Professionals and Socially Active Individuals

If you have a hectic schedule and want to achieve a straighter smile without a prolonged treatment period, Six Month Smiles is an excellent choice. The accelerated treatment time means you can achieve your desired results in just a few months. This makes it highly suitable for professionals, students, and individuals who have upcoming events or occasions where they want to showcase their improved smile.

Previous Orthodontic Treatment Relapse

Sometimes, individuals who have had braces in the past may experience orthodontic relapse, where their teeth shift slightly out of alignment. Six Month Smiles can effectively address this concern, repositioning your teeth and restoring your smile’s previous alignment.

Commitment to Good Oral Hygiene

Maintaining good oral hygiene is crucial during any orthodontic treatment. The best candidates for Six Month Smiles are those who are committed to practicing proper oral hygiene habits, including regular brushing, flossing, and attending dental check-ups. This ensures the success of the treatment and helps maintain the health of your teeth and gums throughout the process.
